GAETANO CARAMORI MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Respiratory Diseases at the University of Ferrara, Italy ( http://docente.unife.it/gaetano.caramori). Professor Caramori is an internationally recognized physician and scientist in the field of airway inflammatory diseases. His main interest is human translational respiratory medicine to develop novel therapies for lung diseases, such as asthma, COPD and lung cancer.


PHIL M. HANSBRO is Professor, NHMRC Fellow and Brawn Fellow at School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy (https://www.newcastle.edu.au/profile/philip-hansbro). He is an internationally recognized research leader in the study of respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive airway disease (COPD), infections and lung cancer. His work has made internationally important contributions and led to the identification of novel avenues for therapy that are under further study. This is achieved through the development of novel mouse models that recapitulate the hallmark features of human disease, including infections, asthma COPD and lung cancer.
